Earth of Fire, the "fuel for Fire." The final Heh of the Tetragrammaton: the ultimate result of the primordial energy in its crystallization. The dancing priestess of the Lords of Fire, the very fuel that draws all things into burning.
A naked dancing priestess leaps upward together with rising flame shaped like the letter Yod: the reaction is possible only when the element is wholly free. Above her brow, like flame, rises the plume of justice. In her hand is a wand crowned with a solar disk. She dances before a golden altar with rams' heads — symbols of the fires of Spring. This is the dance of the virgin priestess of the Lords of Fire: the earthly embodiment of Fire, the chemical attraction of fuel to flame.
🔥Plume-flame above the brow — the plume of justice rising like fire; fuel ready to ignite
☀️Wand with a solar disk — the power of earthly fire; solar might turned into matter
🐏Altar with rams' heads — the golden altar of the fires of Spring, before which the priestess dances
🜨Earth of Fire, the final Heh — the crystallization of energy, the Silence into which all things return
🧭A quadrant of Heaven — the Princesses have no decan: she rules a quadrant around the North Pole
Interpretation
The Princess of Wands is the earthly part of Fire; one might say she is, for Fire, its fuel. In the Tetragrammaton she corresponds to the final Heh: the Princesses depict the ultimate result of the primordial energy in its completion, crystallization and materialization, as well as the balancing and self-absorption of this energy, the Silence into which all things return. The Princesses have no zodiacal correspondences — she rules a single quadrant of Heaven around the North Pole.
Her character is altogether singular: she is brilliant and daring, creating her own beauty by force and energy — it is precisely the strength of her character that gives the observer the impression of beauty. In anger and in love she is sudden, sharp and inexorable, devouring all that falls into her sphere; ambitious, eager for fame, full of enthusiasm, often irrational.
By rank, the junior courtier in the Thoth deck is Waite's Page, described as the possibilities opening before the querent: a fiery impulse aimed at temperament and inspiration, the moment before a temptation or challenge. An inspiring possibility comes to you, an alluring offer or sensational news firsthand — an impulse from outside that will spur you to action.
It is important to be open and not let it slip, to take a risk, and to let your desires and passions awaken. In Waite this impulse is positive, something fiery and exotic; this deck shifts the tremulous anticipation toward sexuality and passion. This is the point where fire takes on flesh and fuel ready to blaze.
The Princess is the final Heh of the fiery family, the throne of the element: she is awakened by the Prince Prince of Wands (air of Fire), who has won her in marriage, closing the cycle of the four figures. Her "fuel" is the continuation of the pure impulse of the Ace Ace of Wands. Her earthly counterpart by rank is the Princess of Cups Princess of Cups (earth of Water), the crystallization of feeling. At the same time the Princess may also signify other possibilities that throw down a challenge to the querent.

Advice & forecast
✦ The card's advice
Let the daring energy blaze and do not let the coming possibility slip — an alluring offer, inspiring news, a spark that spurs you to action. Be open and take the risk: fire finds its fuel only when the element is wholly free. Let your desires and passions awaken; do not stifle them with reason. But do not mistake a flash of mood for true strength: your brilliance may degenerate into theatricality if there is no foundation behind it. Dance before your altar sincerely, not for show, and let passion draw you into a real endeavor.
🔮 What the forecast holds
An inspiring possibility comes to you, an alluring offer or sensational news firsthand — a fiery impulse from outside that will spur you to action. This is the point where fire takes on flesh and fuel ready to blaze: a flash of initiative, the awakening of desires and passions. It is important to be open and not let the chance slip, to risk reaching out toward the new. The possibility may also touch other interests that throw down a challenge to you; the main thing is to catch the spark while it is alive.
↓ Princess of Wands reversed
In bad surroundings her reverse sides come out: she is superficial and theatrical, shallow and false — without even suspecting it, for she believes wholly in herself when from outside only a flash of mood is visible. She is cruel, unreliable, faithless and domineering; pathologically incapable of forgetting a slight and patient only when lying in ambush, plotting revenge. Reversed, this is "not the time" merely to hope for an interesting offer and inspiring prospects, counting on others to motivate you: an impulse from outside should not be expected. Reversals here are conditional: combustible passion degenerates into posturing, capricious cruelty and vengefulness.

How it differs from Waite
Rider-Waite-SmithPage of Wands
vs
Thoth TarotPrincess of Wands
The ranks diverge: Waite's Page is answered here by the Princess of Wands. The essence is shared — a fiery impulse, a temptation or challenge rising before the querent — but the emphasis differs. In Waite this is a positive, exotic surge, the image of a page before a wand and pyramids: an invitation to adventure, an alluring offer from outside. This deck shifts the tremor of anticipation toward sexuality and passion, and makes the figure the earthly "fuel" of fire. Waite's Page is a herald of possibility, the Princess here is the fuel itself, drawing all things into burning.
