Interpretation
A storm cloud that has covered the sun — this is confusion, uncertainty, and an approaching dark stretch. The card brings unwanted circumstances from outside that hinder your affairs and sour your mood; usually these misfortunes are not your fault and don't depend on you. The cloud has two sides — dark and light: if the dark side faces the querent, trouble can't be avoided; if the light side faces them, the misfortune will pass by or blow over quickly. Movement under this card is unpredictable: the path is hidden in fog, there are no landmarks, logic doesn't help — all you can do is trust your intuition and wait it out. But there is also a catharsis here: rain washes away everything unnecessary and superficial, and after the storm a new chapter can begin.
Life Areas
An atmosphere of insecurity and anxiety — feelings are there, but there's no clarity. Emotional swings: closeness one moment, coldness the next; things left unsaid, shifting moods. Often disappointment, spiraling thoughts, resentments, jealousy, and suspicion ('why is he cold?', 'who is she talking to?') — even without real cause. Unlike The Scythe and The Whip, there's no conflict here — people quietly drift apart and avoid each other. But the effect of the clouds is always temporary: when the storm settles, it will become clear whether this was love or an illusion.
Difficult times, problems, setbacks, financial losses — and again the emphasis is that the collapse is not your fault (politics, circumstances, partners who let you down). You can lose a great deal for reasons entirely outside your control. The side of the clouds facing the querent will show whether the trouble is unavoidable or can be set right.
An approaching illness, often prolonged; sometimes problems with blood vessels, clots, blockages. But more broadly the card foretells general malaise — neighbors provide the specifics. On its own it carries disorders of the psyche: depression, gloom, apathy, pessimism, sometimes a temporary clouding of the mind.
Person / Character
A difficult character, excessively serious, prone to keeping everything inside. Thrifty to the point of miserliness, overcautious and pessimistic — this causes them to miss a great many opportunities, and negative thinking keeps them from seeing the upside. The defining trait isn't just living in negativity but imposing it on others: projecting their gloomy worldview, frightening people with future misfortune, dampening others' optimism with their 'drop of tar in the honey.'

Position №6 in the Grand Tableau
House #6 is the crisis sphere of confusion, anxiety, uncertainty, and temporary trouble. A card here shows where the person has fog and interference, what is casting a shadow over the situation. The Sun or The Clover here disperses the clouds and promises clearing; The Coffin, The Mountain, or The Mice mean a prolonged crisis and a heavy, oppressive state. The side of the cloud the dark portion faces is also significant.
Timing
This card marks time as autumn or the rainy season. Movement is unpredictable: the situation will change, but no precise timeframe can be determined — it may 'go off' at any moment, and sometimes drags on until autumn. The path is hidden, distance cannot be determined.
Symbolism & Attributes
Mythology
The cloud is the sun's antagonist, a symbol of external, unstoppable forces and obstacles. But rain brings catharsis and cleansing: it washes away dirt and the inessential, helping you shed dead weight and begin a new chapter.
