A snake doesn't travel in a straight line — it winds and finds the roundabout way, and life under its sign works the same. This card brings cunning, deception, betrayal, and a 'dark wisdom' that more often than not serves no one well, not even its owner. It is a serious warning: be on guard, there is a real threat, a hidden enemy, two-facedness, manipulation. The Snake is a hundred times more dangerous than The Fox: The Fox deceives through simple trickery, but The Snake does so with sophistication, waiting patiently for the best moment to strike below the belt. And yet the image is two-sided: a snake sheds its skin every year, so it also carries renewal, transformation, and deep knowledge of life — in the company of good cards it becomes wisdom. It is also powerful sexual energy and the theme of medicine: the serpent is a symbol of healing.

Wariness and hidden tension where attraction and fear intertwine. Most often: infidelity, a rival, a love triangle — this is never a light flirtation, it is always serious. A strong sexual charge, sometimes the only thing that brings people together. A hypnotic pull alongside the venom — jealousy, control, manipulation, suspicion, checking each other's phones. Often points to a third person's interference, more often a woman. But with honesty, the venom can become medicine — the Snake's energy is capable of healing and renewing feelings.
Deception, manipulation, fraud, and schemes: someone will try to use you in a sophisticated way. A hidden enemy is biding their time for a powerful strike. Contracts with a catch, money laundering, financial pyramids, large-scale swindles. The advice: use your own experience and wisdom so you don't get caught out. Professions: medical workers, pharmacists, psychologists, hypnotists.
A call for examination and caution: sexually transmitted infections, intestinal issues, alcoholism, sometimes chemotherapy or treatment involving toxins. The actual visits to doctors and pharmacies. Seeing this card is a reason to run tests so you don't miss a slow-moving illness. As a symbol of Asclepius it can also be read favorably — advice to pursue intensive treatment.

More often a woman — intelligent, cunning, calculating, sexual, and emotionally cold; prone to manipulation and the pursuit of her own interests. Patient and wise, but she uses that wisdom for harm; she won't back down after a first defeat and will use people and circumstances to her advantage. Often so charming that she slips into your life too deeply before you notice. As a man, this card is rare — then it depicts an extraordinarily clever, slippery, cold-blooded person who never moves hastily and always waits for the best moment. Can indicate a mother or an older woman.
