Interpretation
This is a personal significator card: it stands in a spread for a specific woman and carries no meaning of its own. How she is dressed, what pose she is in, or which direction she is looking — none of that matters. First and foremost this is the querent herself, when reading for a woman. When reading for a man, it is a woman who matters to him: his wife (if he is married, always his wife), a fiancée, a lover, his mother, sister, adult daughter, colleague, or doctor. Any card beside her describes this woman — her character, profession, abilities, and interests. When The Woman appears in a spread not concerned with people, the feminine principle applies: a position of waiting, receiving, accepting. The card advises doing nothing for now — waiting it out; perhaps there is something to be received or accepted.
Life Areas
For her — to love and believe in herself, to go after what she wants, to present herself with confidence. For him — this is his woman, she is on his side and can be counted on for support; or it is the meeting with a woman he will fall for. Right now she is playing the leading role in his family.
For her — to hold her position and act in the way that is best for her. For him — this woman matters to his career and will support him. The card's general counsel is to behave in the feminine way: gently, wisely, intuitively; not to push straight through, but to show diplomacy, trust your instincts, and not fear compromise. It may simply mean find a woman who can help.
The female reproductive system, hormones; it is worth having the thyroid checked. Points to a female doctor. For a man it may indicate a hormonal imbalance.
Person / Character
The core of the card. On its own it carries no meaning — it only indicates the gender of the person in question; everything else is read from the neighbours. In relationships it often shows that the bond is held together by the woman's efforts, or that some woman (not necessarily a rival — could be a mother, mother-in-law, or friend) is a factor in the situation; the card is frequently neutral and simply indicates a stable state of affairs. In character — a gentle, compassionate, caring nature; strong intuition and sensitivity; the ability to adapt, listen, and warm others — yet not at all spineless: there is self-regard and self-assurance there too, something almost feline. The shadow side — jealousy, possessiveness, and smothering attention as a way of asserting the self.

Position №29 in the Grand Tableau
In the Grand Tableau, The Woman is the reading's point of origin when the querent is female: the entire reading is built from her. Cards to her right = the future, to her left = the past, above = thoughts and goals, below = the foundation, the subconscious. The closer a card is to the significator, the stronger and sooner its influence; the further away, the weaker and later. When The Man and The Woman are far from each other, the connection between them is weak or absent. The nearest surrounding cards and the corner cards around the significator set the overall context of the situation.
Timing
In contrast to the active Man, The Woman is passive and watchful: the card advises taking a position of patient waiting — better not to move anywhere right now, the situation will change on its own soon. Rough reference points: 29 minutes, the 29th (or 11th) of the month, 11 o'clock; distance — within walking range.
Symbolism & Attributes
Mythology
Where The Man is the rational principle, The Woman embodies intuition, emotion, and a logic that may seem contradictory but arrives at a different level of understanding. This is an introverted stance — an immersion in one's own inner world. The impulse of the feminine principle is to hold the universe within.
